Dining Sustainability Coordinators



Cornell Dining employs two Student Sustainability Coordinators (SSCs), work to improve sustainable purchasing and waste management in Cornell Dining operations.The SSCs work closely with Dining’s managers and chefs, Cornell’s R5 Operations, CU Compost, and other student groups. Most outreach projects involve food waste reduction and composting and recycling education in Cornell Dining halls. The SSCs also organize the annual Farm to Fork and Fall Harvest Dinners to educate and promote local/sustainable food sourcing. The Student Sustainability Coordinators help support the university’s mission of sustainability and are available to assist with different food-themed environmental projects at Cornell
