Environmental Science and Sustainability Major

A way for students who have a passion for the field to pursue their academic interests as well as act as campus sustainability leaders...

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ major in Environmental Science and Sustainability (ESS) combines and augments two prior majors: the Science of Natural and Environmental Systems (SNES) and Natural Resources (NTRES). ESS emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of all environmental challenges facing society today and prepares students for a wide range of careers and life-long learning. This major seeks exceptional students capable of engaging multiple disciplines in order to confront and explore sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.
