The goal of the Cooperative Extension Green Building Outreach Program is to deliver education, conduct applied research, and encourage community collaboration in Green Building throughout Tompkin’s County.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Program has responded to the needs of Tompkins County with research-based information, tools, and education that the community has come to rely on and trust. Through the Green Building Outreach Program, Cornell is working to assure that the greater community transitions to greener, more sustainable building practices alongside the university itself. By matching university resources such as information in energy efficiency, economic and community development, and sustainable, natural resources, Cornell plays a vital role in improving the lives of individuals, families, and businesses throughout our local community.
