Shoals Lab's Crowdfunding Campaign
Bringing Energy Conservation to Light at Shoalscomments share
Have you heard about the Shoals Marine Lab's crowdfunding campaign “Bringing Energy Conservation to Light at Shoals”? Shoals is proud to have raised over 70% of its goal to purchase 40 new solar panels for Cornell's marine field station on Appledore Island in Maine. Check out the crowdfunding project page to learn how Shoals is planning to bring 100% green technology to Appledore, and decrease dependency upon fossil fuels. Completion of Appledore's green grid will serve to decrease Appledore's carbon footprint, AND bring clean energy to island classrooms, laboratories and residential halls — what a great way to demonstrate sustainable living! Providing students and visitors with hands-on experience in finding sustainable solutions to environmental challenges goes a long way towards meeting the mission of the Shoals Marine Laboratory. Follow this link to support Cornell and Shoals before December 3rd!
