Regional Transportation Project Educator (Deadline to Apply April 6th)
Responsibilities: The Regional Transportation Project Educator will provide leadership to a groundbreaking regional project that will extend Way2Go’s Transportation education resources and expertise to a region of up to seven counties in Upstate New York. The project is an effort to implement recommendations from the Regional Transportation Study, completed in 2013. The Educator is responsible for building relationships with community leaders across the region and collaborating with these partners to implement regional transportation education initiatives. The Educator will act as a subject matter resource on regional transportation issues for regional partners, decision makers and community members. Because it is a new initiative, the project will require a significant upfront effort from the Educator in program development and relationship building.
Qualifications: Master's Degree. 2 years work or volunteer experience relevant to position. Ability to network and build relationships with a diverse group of community members, faculty and stakeholders while maintaining cultural competency. Ability to use website media and social marketing to educate and communicate to achieve program goals. Ability to understand, interpret and apply research.
Minimum Salary: $18.75 per hour
Hours/Benefits: Position is grant-funded, full-time (40 hours/week) and includes full benefit package including health and dental insurance, retirement, life insurance and more.
