Thursday, October 11, 2012 7:00pm to 8:00pm, Tompkins County Public Library
With a $1 million state grant in hand for developing a sustainability plan, a group of eight Southern Tier counties is seeking public input on how the funds should be used.
The Tompkins County Public Library will host a public hearing for the Cleaner Greener Southern Tier Plan from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in the BorgWarner West Room, 101 E. Green St. The event is free, and planners are seeking public opinion on strategies that could reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
Anyone who can’t attend the workshops can offer suggestions online at www.cleanergreenersoutherntier.org from Friday through Oct. 21.
